NAB | Regulatory Compliance Case Study by DWS | DWS

DWS has partnered with NAB for over 9 years providing IT Professional Services.  DWS was awarded one of only four 2013 NAB Supplier Awards. DWS was successful in the award category ‘Product/Service Excellence’ where it demonstrated initiative, dedication, reliability, responsiveness and collaboration.

DWS was recognised, based on our involvement delivering against the G20/Dodd Frank reporting requirements, which were triggered by the Global Financial Crisis when the U.S. Treasury initiated the G20 Regulatory Reform Program.  Dodd-Frank mandated that financial institutions globally report all trades with U.S. entities and so NAB initiated The Dodd-Frank Trade Reporting Engine (TRE) project, with DWS engaged to design, develop and deliver a technology based reporting solution to meet U.S. regulatory requirements.

DWS drew on our NAB specific intellectual property, accumulated across our nine year partnership, to deliver a near real-time trade submission solution that reports trade details to the Global Trade Repository in the U.S.

This enabled NAB to be one of only ten global institutions to implement the TRE solution within the required timeframe and able to continue with billions of dollars in annual U.S trades as a result.
